Program OverviewEmbodied Movement Yoga for Kids (Weeks 1-4)
Based on Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga for Kids Practice (TCTSYK), this segment prioritizes choice over traditional yoga elements. Participants focus on choosing forms that resonate with them, fostering interconnectedness of body, thoughts, and actions. Embodied Movement Dance (Weeks 5-6) Building on the foundational yoga practice, this segment introduces dance movement with options for participants to choose from, emphasizing interoception and empowering participants to explore their bodies through flow-based movement to diverse musical options. Embodied Movement Expression (Performing Arts) (Weeks 7-8) In this segment, participants engage in shared authentic experiences, integrating yoga and dance into a performing arts context. They have the choice to express their artistic interpretations, promoting self-expression and empowerment. |
