A Journey of Healing Through Movement

Empowering youth to overcome trauma and embrace a brighter future through movement-based programs

We believe in the power of embodied movement to bring about impactful healing. Our programs are rooted in the Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) methodology, a unique approach that recognizes the mind-body connection and focuses on empowering participants to take charge of their own well-being.

Unlike traditional yoga or dance classes, TCTSY prioritizes internal experiences over external appearances. Participants are guided to be in charge of themselves, fostering a positive relationship with their bodies. We understand that healing begins when we allow ourselves to feel, and TCTSY provides a safe space for this exploration.

Embodied Movement Focused Healing Arts

Our Healing Arts Program: Level 1 uses embodied movement as a tool for healing. Recognizing that traumatic symptoms are both physiological and psychological, our approach directly addresses the effects of trauma. Through yoga and dance, children and youth reconnect with their bodies, release tension, and develop a sense of wholeness.

Creating a Safe Environment

Our Healing Arts Program provides a safe space for participants to explore their bodies, notice sensations, and make choices in the present moment. Grounded in the core tenets of TCTSY, including Invitational Language, Choice Making, Interoception, Shared Authentic Experience, and Non-coercion, our programs foster predictability, empowerment, and trust.
